I’m all done making Delia Creates’ Summer Mesh Sweater in Lion Brand’s Coboo. The free pattern was very easy to follow and I really liked using slip stitches to attach the pieces together (this was the first time I used that method). The only thing I didn’t like about this project was getting used to the Coboo yarn. It can be very frustrating to work with because it tends to split, some skeins more so than others. I was able to work much quicker once I got a feel for the yarn and switched to a Clover hook. The Susan Bates hook I typically use has a sharp edge that made the splitting worse. Do you use the same brand of hooks for all your projects, or do you change it up?
I made the sweater in a size medium and ended up using almost five skeins of Coboo in the Lichen colorway. I love how this summery shade of mint green pairs with a nice crisp white. I think it would also look great with some tan linen pants, or even over a dress.
Although the yarn gave me some trouble, I’m super happy with the finished piece. What color would you choose for this sweater?
