My Homebody Cardi in Big Twist Party is complete! I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this cardigan came together. The best part of this pattern is that it’s designed with minimal seaming and easy size adjustments. You basically make a left and a right side (which have the arms already built into the pattern), add ribbed hems, then seam the pieces together down the back and you’re done!
I ended up using almost six skeins of Big Twist Party in the Lavender Bellini colorway. The variegated purple and orange yarn created a nice striping effect near the elbows and along the bottom ribbing. The end product is a nice fluffy oversized cardigan that’s perfect for throwing over your outfit for a little extra warmth whenever you need it.
I’m already planning to make a Fall/Winter version using Eddie Bauer’s Cozy Camp yarn. Stay tuned for more details on that later this year. What yarn would you use to make this cardigan?
